Project Search
A Good Idea
Description
Project Search provides employment and training opportunities to adults and youth with significant disabilities and/or chronic illnesses.
The Adult Employment program works with employers to identify open positions, match jobs to qualified candidates, implement accommodations, provide coaching during transition period, and assist with job retention and career advancement.
The High School Transition program provides similar services to students in their final year of high school, but consists of an additional classroom component to teach employment and life skills.
For youth ages 14 or older, Project Search runs a Vocational-Educational Clinic, an individualized program to determine vocational interests and abilities; assist with GED programs and technical school or college choices; coordinate with the school, medical team, and other providers; and provide long-term support and follow-up.
